Life imprisonment to two for killing minor in Nagaon

NAGAON: Nagaon Additional District and Session Judge on Friday sentenced two persons, Saiful Islam and Khairul Islam of the same locality, to life imprisonment for killing a minor last year at Kampur Bakulguri Nolarpar in Nagaon district. According to sources, the duo on June 27, 2017 kidnapped Anuwar Hussain from his house and strangled him to death. Subsequently, his body was found inside a jungle near his house. The family of the victim later registered a case in Kampur police station.

Kampur police during investigation apprehended Saiful and Khairul and produced them before Nagaon additional district and session court. The court sent both of them to judicial custody and the trial was on for months. But on Friday after hearing all aspects of the murder, the court finally convicted both of them and sentenced them to life imprisonment for the brutal murder.
