lin campaigns for Jirang candidate

SHILLONG, Feb 4: The tiol spokesperson of the BJP and the torchbearer of the party in Meghalaya, lin Kohli, on Sunday campaigned for the party’s candidate in Jirang constituency.
Along with Kohli, Garo BJP legislator from Bokajan assembly seat in Assam, Numal D. Momin also pitched in his bit for the party’s candidate Badhok Nongmalieh.
The duo appealed to the people of Jirang constituency to vote for Nongmalieh and assured that the party will bring some change. 
Speaking at the election rally, Kohli rued the backwardness of Meghalaya in general and Jirang constituency in particular.
Kohli said, “Since Meghalaya attained statehood in 1972, it has mostly been ruled by the Congress. However, till today there is no proper infrastructure like roads and better healthcare facilities for the people to benefit from.”
Meanwhile, the BJP leaders promised development if the BJP is elected in Meghalaya.
