lini Bala Devi remembered at Bilasipara

BILASIPARA, Dec 25: The 39th death anniversary of poet lini Bala Devi was celebrated by Lekhika Samaroha Samiti, Bilasipara branch here recently. The programme started with the lighting of lamp by Mukul Chakraborty, advisor of the organization. A meeting was held, as a part of the event, in the premises of Bilasipara Sub-Divisiol Public Library which was presided over by Runu Bhuya, president of Bilasipara Lekhika Samaroha. The objective of the meeting was explained by Rubi Das, secretary of the Bilasipara Lekhia Samaroha Samiti. The meeting was also addressed by noted social worker Dr Kanu Lal Das, librarian of Bilasipara College, Dr Haricharan Das.
