Liquor seized at Margherita

MARGHERITA, Dec 31: Under the leadership of Margherita Excise Inspector Homen Gogoi, an early morning raid was conducted on Wednesday at Bisha Gaon, Udaipur Chariali and Jagun under Margherita Subdivision.

During the raid, 4,000 litres of F/W, one-and-half case of IMFL liquor bottles and 40 litres of I/D were seized. Six persons were arrested and a case under the Assam Excise Act has been registered against them. Lekhapani Police and Digboi Excise team also cooperated in this raid.
