Liquor smugglers, Bangladeshi tiol held

SHILLONG, April 24: The BSF troops deployed at Kachhuadogri, West Garo Hills district of Meghalaya intercepted an auto rickshaw with two Indian liquor smugglers near NH-51 while coming from Dalu. The two smugglers identified as Nitend Roy (32) and Chang Kam Marak (20) of Hatimara village were apprehended near NH-51 and 32 bottles liquor were seized along with the auto rickshaw. In another incident, BSF troops deployed at Gumaghat under South West Khasi Hills district on Sunday apprehended one Bangladeshi tiol, identified as Saidul Islam, (23) with two country made wooden boats, who had illegally entered into Indian territory. The BSF informed that the apprehended Bangladeshi tiol along with seized items have been handed over to concerned department for further legal action.
