Literary cell meeting of Srimanta Sankardev Sangha held in Morigaon

MORIGAON: The 88th session of the socio-cultural organization Srimanta Sankardev Sangha is underway at the Rasaraj Lakhsminath Bezbarua Samanwai Khetra in Morigaon. On Thursday, the literary cell meeting of Srimanta Sankardev Sangha kicked off under the presidentship of Dr. Jagat Ch. Kalita, president of the literary cell. It was inaugurated by Kailash Das, noted writer. Renowned writer Goutam Pattel from Gujarat attended the literary meeting as the chief guest.

Dr Lakhinandan Bora, former president of Axam Xahitya Xabha, and Dr. Ashok Goswami, noted litterateur spoke on Sankardev’s creative writing at length in the meeting. On the other hand, a painting programme on Sankardev was organized at the Samanwai Khetra where altogether 88 artists showcased their talent. A play was staged in the evening. Earlier, the meeting of the Sanskrit cell was held under the president ship of Basundhar Deka, president of the Sanskrit cell of SSS.
