Loin Loom scheme receives positive response
Itagar, March 5: Chief Minister’s flagship programme— Grant Loin Loom Scheme— aims at helping local weavers and also benefitting selected handloom weavers.
The scheme, which is being implemented by the department of Textile and Handicraft, received a good response from beneficiaries in East Siang district.
East Siang Assistant Director of Textile and Handicraft Dakmo Riba said that all weaver beneficiaries should properly avail the benefits and help extended by the government through such schemes.
Riba further said the basic aim of the flagship programme is to provide livelihood to the local weavers.
