Lok Adalat settles 14 crimil cases

Itagar, Feb 14: As per schedule of the tiol Legal Service Authority, New Delhi, a tiol Lok Adalat was held at the district court Aalo in West Siang district February 11 last in which 14 out of 74 crimil cases and was disposed off. Money suit involving Rs 16,466/- was also settled in the day by members of district legal service authority consisting advocates Todak Ado, Gorik Kamduk under the supervision of CJM Tage Halley.

As the remaining cases could not be disposed off due to absence of victim/complaint/respondent and unwillingness of the party to settle the case in Lok Adalat etc, accordingly the same have been referred to next Lok Adalat/regular court for necessary step as per law. Meanwhile, the Aalo fire station on February 9 last conducted a fire demonstration and mock drill at the Siyom Valley School, Pessing here. SFO Horda Lo who dwelt at length on the cause of fire accidents, do’s and don’ts while the accident takes place, rescue operations, providing first aid to casualties etc also stressed on proper electrification through practical demonstrations.

Fire fighting squad/ School fire magement committee (SFMC) was also formed on the occasion in which school principal K P Sabu was selected as chairperson and made aware of key roles, an official release informed here today.
