Long queues in banks and ATMs continue

Silchar, Jan 6: The BJP-led government has increased the withdrawal limit to Rs.4500 from Rs.2500 per day. Even after five days of the withdrawal of limit, very little changes have taken place. A large number of people can be seen in the queues in banks and ATM counters. Almost all of the ATMs are either out of cash or have not been calibrated to the new withdrawal limit. Notes of Rs.500 are found rarely in one ATM or the other. There are ATMs which remains out of cash or out of order. In such a situation, it becomes difficult for people to mage things.

 People are able to withdraw Rs.4500, yet the long queues in the banks and ATMs, keeps them engaged for a whole day. People have to spend a lot of time in withdrawing their money from banks. Most of the time, it is seen that ATMs run out of cash and remain out of order. It creates a lot of problems in emergency situations. As a result of which, people go to bank for withdrawing money and find long queues. Even aged people can be seen standing for long hours before the cash counters of various banks.
