Actors Sara Ali Khan and Kartik Aaryan have shared the first look picture from their upcoming and yet untitled film, Love Aaj Kal 2. Shared on their social media pages on Wednesday, the picture is clicked by the film’s director, Imtiaz Ali.

The picture shows Sara with her head on Kartik Aaryan’s shoulders. “Honoured, grateful and uncontrollably excited to be a part of Imtiaz Ali ‘s next! The film could be a sequel to 2009’s Love Aaj Kal that starred Sara’s father Saif Ali Khan and Deepika Padukone in lead roles. It will release on Valentine’s Day 2020.

Fans preferred seeing Sara and Kartik together within the image. “Can’t wait for it. I hope Kartik Aaryan and Sara Ali Khan will do justice to the moving-picture show,” wrote a fan. “We are super excited concerning this movie!♥ can’t wait to see these two surprisingly talented people onscreen,” wrote another.

Sara and Kartik have been shooting for the film in Old Delhi over the last few weeks. Pictures from the film’s sets showed them riding a motorbike and having a conversation. A video, that is rumoured to be from the film’s sets, conjointly went viral recently. It showed Sara and Kartik sharing a kiss. When he was asked concerning it recently, he dodged the question saying, “Was that basically Sara and me?”

The news of Sara Ali Khan and Kartik Aaryan starring together is a treat for the fans of two young stars, who have been keen to see them pair up after Sara admitted to having a crush on Kartik on Karan Johar’s TV show. “Unlike Imtiaz’s previous two films -- Jab Harry Met Sejal and Tamasha -- which were set in foreign locales, this one will be shot in Punjab and Delhi,” a source told to the media.
