The LPG Panchayat was organized by Indian Oil Corporation (IOC) Limited with support from M/s Inghi Gas Service and other service providers. In Karbi Anglong and West Karbi Anglong districts combined, LPG penetration is about 33 per cent with predominantly rural population. It is expected that through the LPG Panchayat platform and PMUY, it will be possible to improve LPG penetration beyond 80 per cent.
