Lumding-Silchar rail services affected again

GUWAHATI, April 27: In view of report of fresh landslide and sink of soil at Phiding that has disturbed the railway track substantially, train operation in Lumding – Silchar hill section is being temporarily controlled. The 55615 Guwahati – Silchar Fast Passenger, which had started its journey from Guwahati on Tuesday, was short termited at Lumding and returned to Guwahati as train number 55616 according to its normal time-table from Lumding. The 55616 Silchar–Guwahati Fast Passenger, that started journey from Silchar today, was short-termited at Mahur and returned to Silchar as train number 55615 according to its normal time-table from Mahur. The 25657 Guwahati–Silchar Kanchenjungha Express scheduled to leave Guwahati on April 28 and 25658 Silchar–Guwahati Kanchenjungha Express scheduled to leave Silchar on April 29 will remained cancelled. Similarly, the 55615 Guwahati - Silchar Fast Passenger scheduled to leave Guwahati on April 27 and 55616 Silchar – Guwahati Fast Passenger scheduled to leave Silchar on April 28 will also remain cancelled.
