Madhurya to train at Manchester

GUWAHATI, Feb 15: Assam boy Madhurya Madhab Bora has been selected to train for a period of three months at Manchester United Soccer School.  He will fly to England in the last part of this month to join the training camp.

Madhurya was initially selected among the 400 young players for the fil selection trial. Later he was able to catch the eyes of the selectors in the fil selection camp too.

Talking to the media person today Madhurya, who is now a trainee of Ozone Soccer academy in Bangaluru, said, “I was working hard to get the selection. Yes, it’s a very happy moment for me. I have been selected in the U-17 category and will try my best to learn a lot of new things in the camp which can help me to improve my level of performance.”

Madhurya, who hails from gaon, was earlier selected for the State Soccer Academy and he also turned up for Betkuchi School in the Subroto Cup soccer tourment.

The Secretary of the Assam Football Association Ankur Dutta was accompanied Madhurya during his media interaction. Dutta said: “ The boy has the capability to become a good soccer player of the country. Hope this camp will help him to learn a lot of new things.”  It may be mentioned here that recently Chandan Boro, a young player from Udalguri, got selected to train in Germany for a period of six years.
