Magistracy Cell for speedy disposal of cases formed in Hailakandi district

Hailakandi: A Magistracy Cell has been constituted for speedy disposal of cases during ensuing Panchayat elections in Hailakandi district. Executive Magistrates Tridip Roy and Parikshit Phukan will look into cases under Sections 107 and 109 CrPC filed in concerned police stations and dispose of the same in a time bound manner.

Additional District Magistrate Amalendu Roy informed that the administration has constituted the cell to dispose off the huge number of cases generally received from the police stations during elections. “The Magistracy Cell will help speed up disposal of huge number of cases that pile up during elections and lessen pendency of cases that help in regaining the confidence of people in the administration,” added Roy. The order comes into force with immediate effect.
