Maha Bishnu Yaj for world peace begins

TANGLA, May 11: A grand yag has been organized at Shivaganga Bolbom Noi River bank at Tangla since May 8. The eight-day yag will conclude on May 16. A large number of devotees are thronging the site from within and outside the district.
Reportedly, 11 priests from Varasi have been engaged in the yag from dawn to dusk. Every evening Ramlila is staged. Badal Bhowmick, secretary of the organizing committee, said that the yag started on May 8 with iuguration of Maha Bishnu Yag Mandap by Binod Mahanta, president of the organizing committee. The yag is organized every year for peace in the world. A 48-hour continuous am-kirtan will also be organized from May 17, he added.
