Mahakali Tea estate manager accused of fraud in Tinsukia

TINSUKIA: The manager of Mahakali Tea Estate under 12 No. Bapuji Gaon Panchyat in Tinsukia district’s Bordubi PS has adopted fraudulent means to transfer ownership to Luxmi Tea Co, alleged Arjun Nagh, the president of Bapuji Gaon Panchyat. In an FIR lodged at Bordubi PS on Wednesday, so also in press release issued on Friday, Arjun Nagh stated that the manager of Mahakali TE, MS Shakhawat, by forging the letterhead of Bapuji Gaon Panchyat, approached him for a certificate to testify ownership transfer to Luxmi Tea Co. Shakhawat allegedly exercised extreme pressure on Nagh and even threatened him with dire consequences to put his signature on the forged letterhead. After he declined to sign without verifying proper land records, the manager allegedly got the paper signed by the secretary, Himendu Nagh after misleading him, the release stated. The release also demanded action against the manager of Mahakali TE, MS Shakhawat and official of Luxmi Tea Co for forging the letterhead of Bapuji Gaon Panchyat and using the same illegally.
