Maharishi Vidya Mandir holds transcendental meditation programme

Silchar, April 22: The teachers and students of Maharishi Vidya Mandir here took part in a group transcendental meditation on Tuesday on the occasion of Akshaya Tritiya, the day on which the journey of first Maharishi Vidya Mandir started in the country.

  The meditation programme was held at 8 am in all 151 units of Maharishi Vidya Mandir, which completed its 25th year of existence, across the country.   The principal of Silchar Maharishi Vidya Mandir Samita Dutta said that the transcendental meditation brings a state of enlightenment. “Through mediation, we experience inner calmness and quiet state of least excitation,” she added.

  Bireshwar Bhattacharjee, one of the senior teachers of the school, said that Maharishi Mahesh Yogi introduced the transcendental meditation technique for perpetual peace and healthy life of people. He said that not only the teachers and students but also the guardians had also participated in the prayer.
