Mahendrath Hazarika Award for Keshav Saikia

Golaghat, Jan 3: The Golaghat Zila Xahitya Xabha organized a day-long programme in memory of Mahendrath Hazarika in Golaghat.

This year’s Mahendrath Hazarika Award was given to one of the veteran jourlists and educationists of Golaghat, Keshav Saikia. A meeting was held which was presided over by the president of Golaghat Zila Sahitya Sabha, Suren Gayan. Among other intellectuals on the dias were award recipient Keshav Saikia , Samiran Bordoloi , Puram Baruah and Dr Kutubuddin Ahmed.

Lamp lighting was done by Golap Saikia . The award was conferred to Keshav Saikia, which included seleng chadar, appreciation letter and book. Many people were present in the ceremony.
