Itanagar, April 17: In a major political development, president of Arunachal Pradesh Mahila Congress Committee Kamala Linggi on Monday left the grand old political party and joined the ruling BJP along with her supporters. In a low-key ceremony at the State BJP headquarters here, Linggi along with APMCC vice president Techi Dumsap and secretaries Sang Droima and Martha Borang joined the saffron party in the presence of the State BJP president Tapir Gao.

While welcoming the senior Congress leaders to his party fold, the BJP chief said they are now members of the BJP with equal rights and responsibilities like any other existing members and there would be no distinction among the members of the party on the basis of length of association of the members in the party.
