Man commits suicide in Gaurisagar

GAURISAGAR, June 22: Prob Phukan alias Biren Phukan, a prominent businessman and  resident of Gaurisagar near Mitong bridge under Gaurisagar Police Station, alleegdly committed suicide by hanging in a cow shed behind  his residence on Wednesday. The cause of suicide is yet to be ascertained. Gaurisagar Police led by officer in-charge Dadu Boarh rushed to the spot and took stock of the situation. The body of Phukan was sent to Sivasagar Civil Hospital for postmortem. He is survived by his wife, two daughters, three brothers and a host of relatives.
