Man killed by younger brother

Bongaigaon, May 26: A gruesome murder has created panic in Chirang district. The alleged murder took place at Bandhuguri Lanvangpara under Runikhata PS in Chirang district where a person med Bigrai Basumatary killed his elder brother Daubai Basumatary on Wednesday night. A local resident said that Bigrai used to quarrel with his family members every night after consuming alcohol. “Like other days, last night also he came home and started quarrelling with his elder brother. The quarrel reached such a point that Bigrai stabbed Daubai with a sharp weapon. When we come to know about the incident, we ran to their house but Bigrai had already fled from the spot. Then we informed the police and the police sent the body for post mortem,” said the local resident. Police have launched a search operation to b Bigrai.
