Mangaldai, March 16: Veteran businessman and social worker, Dhiren Deka, who was a resident of Medhipara in Mangaldai, passed away at 3 am on Monday at the raya Hospital at Amingaon in Guwahati. Deka had been suffering from pancreatic problems for some time. He leaves behind his wife and two sons. His death was mourned by several literary and student bodies of the area.
