Man risks his life to save three people from drowning in Dibrugarh

Dibrugarh: Heroes are not just confined to celluloid. They are everywhere around us, and perhaps playing far more challenging and crucial roles. One such act of heroism has caught everyone’s fancy here. When CA Sanjay Verma went to the river bank during the Chhath Puja festivities on November 14, little did he know that he would be responsible for saving three lives. Upon seeing three people struggling for survival in the mighty Brahmaputra, he risked his life, plunged into the river, and saved them from drowning. Verma is a resident of the Jhaluk Para area of the town. Recognizing his act of bravery, he was duly felicitated by various organizations, including Marwari Juva Manch and Marwari Naitya Samiti, at an event organized by the Eleven Star Club.
