Man robbed near Nonai road bridge in Bhutiachang

TANGLA: In a daring day-light robbery which has created sensation and fear-psychosis among the people, a youth identified as Ikramul Haque was robbed of a bag containing Rs 3 lakh on the Mangaldai-Bhutiachang road near Nonai road bridge in Bhutiachang area under Paneri PS in Udalguri district at about 2.30 pm on Friday. According to reports, the victim who is working for a Garuajhar-based businessman Danish Ali was carrying the amount belonging to the latter when two bike-borne miscreants attacked the youth and fled with the bag. Meanwhile, police have rescued the injured youth, Ikramul Haque and sent him for medical treatment. Police have launched a man-hunt in search of the miscreants.
