Manipur water bodies dry up

IMPHAL, MARCH 31: The public health engineering department will continue to distribute raw water to the people. Many sections are ridiculing the way the department is distributing water to undisclosed places with just 20 water tankers. The state has a population of nearly 28 lakh population. Manipur is passing through a drought like situation. All rivers which are major source of water in the state had dried up and all water supply facilities had been closed down simply because there is no water. Some private water suppliers who are supplying water to the people had hiked the price abnormally. So far the government has not approached the Centre hoping that rains soon come to the state.
