Manoj wins gold

Dibrugarh, June1: In the 40th tiol Arm Wrestling Championship , held , recently at gpur, Manoj Debth, a resident of Dibrugarh town, brought laurels for his home district and for the State, by winning Gold in 55kg men category.It was the only gold won by Assam in the competition.

Manoj Debth had earlier represented the country and his home state at various Arm wrestling events. By winning gold at the tiol Arm Wrestling event in gpur,Manoj has been selected in the Indian squad for the forthcoming 38th World Arm Wrestling Championship scheduled to be held in Bulgaria from October 1-9.

It may be mentioned here that Assam also won 1 silver and 5 bronze medals in different categories in the same championship.
