Many Villages Near Dikhow River Witnesses Flood Threat in Sivasagar District,Assam

Joysagar, July 30: Due to the incessant rain, the water level of the Dikhow river in Sivasagar town has increased the danger marker as a result of which many villages situated in the river bank have been affected by the flood. The flood situation of the state remains unchanged and is becoming critical day by day. Places like Sholey Gaon, Phukan Nagar, Amolapatty, Meteka and Cherekapara have been worst affected and the local administration has shifted people of these areas to relief camps set up in some government schools.
