Margherita MLA Bhaskar Sharma accorded warm welcome

MARGHERITA, June 4: A grand welcome programme was organized on Saturday by Margherita BJP and AGP leaders and workers to felicitate Margherita MLA Bhaskar Sharma who defeated heavyweight Congress candidate Pradyut Bordoloi by 22,742 votes in the recent assembly polls.

More than 5,000 people gathered at North Margherita Rangamancha. MLA Bhaskar Sharma started the rally from Powai Gate to North Margherita Rangamancha. At the felicitation programme, representatives of many organizations of Margherita were present to felicitate the MLA. Many senior BJP leaders of Margherita such as Krish Kumar Saikia, Bhim Karmakar, And Sharma, Ashish Paul, Santanu Borthakur, Andita Goswami and many senior AGP leaders of Margherita such as reswar Hazarika, Jyotish Sundas, Kankan Mukherjee, AGP central committee general secretary Diganta Saikia and more than 2,000 BJP and AGP workers and Supporters were present during today’s felicitation programme. Meanwhile, AJYCP Margherita Regiol Committee president Salil Neog and general secretary Kanchan Bora handed over a memorandum to the MLA with six demands such as to start the water supply project at 9 Mile Jagun which had not been completed since the last nine years, to provide electricity to the people of Margherita LAC, to construct the 2 No Maulang Gaon Ledo connectivity road, to repair roads of 124 No Margherita LAC which are in dilapidated condition, to start the water irrigation project of MakumKilla, Maulang Ledo and Alubari area so that farmers can get sufficient water and to open the ITI School of Ledo.  Bhaskar Sharma assured both the leaders of AJYCP that all the demands would be fulfilled.
