Martyr Rajendra Nath Das’ plaque installed

SIVASAGAR, July 8: The 149 Bn CRPF installed a plaque in the memory of Shaheed Rajendra Nath Das at Batbari Higher Secondary School where he studied, on Friday. Shaheed Rajendra Nath Das got martyred while fighting courageously with the Maoists till his last breath and demonstrated a strong sense of dedication and loyalty towards his duty and the nation. For his courageous job, Shaheed Rajendra Nath Das was posthumously awarded the Police Medal for Gallantry by the President of India.

Jacob V Tusing , Comdt-149 and Subodh Sonowal, Superintendent of Police of Sivasagar, unveiled the plaque erected in the memory of martyr Rajendra Nath Das at Batbari HS School in his native village Batbari, Mitha Pukhari in Sivasagar district.

On the occasion of unveiling of the plaque, Sudeep R Wakchaure, Deputy Commandant GS Bhati, Deputy Commandant Braj Bhushan Kumar, Assistant Commandant Dr. Surender Palakuri, M/O and the Principal of Batbari Higher Secondary School, students, his wife Usha Rani Das, his family members and villagers were present on the occasion. They paid tribute by offering floral garland at the statue of the martyr.
