Mathematics academy's annual congress begins

Bogaigaon, January 29: The 30th Annual Congress of Assam Academy of Mathematics (AAM) got off a rousing start today with a three-day programme in Ramanujan Khetra of Birjhora Girls’ High School in Bongaigaon.

The programme today started with paying floral tribute to Srinivasa Ramanujan Ayengar and lightening of lamp by Jitendra Chandra Misra Bhagawati, president, AAM, Bongaigaon branch. This was followed by the iuguration of Science and Mathematics exhibition by Dhurjyoti Prasad Mazumdar, retired headmaster of Railway High School, Tinsukia.

A workshop on Mathematics was held which was iugurated by Birbrata Das Choudhury, GS, AAM. Dhurjyoti Prasad Mazudar attended the workshop as resource person. A quiz programme among the students was also held.
