MDCs unhappy over poor condition of hostel

SHILLONG, June 22:  The MDCs of KHADC drawing attention of the council expressed dismay at the condition of the MDC hostel which is in poor condition void of even the basic amenities. LG Nongsiej, Nongstoin MDC, while taking part in the general discussion of the budget, said, “We have been experiencing scarcity of water for the last four years. In the previous years, water was unclear. No changes were apparent although assurances were given.” Mawshynrut MDC, M Mawsor, said that KHADC CEM Pynshngain N Syiem had informed the House that there are three sweepers/cleaners.  “If that is the case, they should be directed to perform their duty well to keep the premises neat and clean,” Mawsor said.
