Me-Dam-Me-Phi celebrated in Jorhat

Jorhat, February 1: The people of Ahom community celebrated Me-Dam-Me-Phi in various parts of Jorhat district on Sunday with colourful programme. In Joya Bhavan, Me-Dam-Me-Phi was celebrated with a two-day long programme. They took out a traditiol procession in Jorhat town. In Bolia, Guhaine Pukhuri Tai Kola Kristi Kendra celebrated Me-Dam-Me-Phi with a colourful programme. On the other hand, Teok central Me-Dam-Me-Phi celebration committee organized a two-day function at Teok Chaudang Gaon. In various parts of Jorhat district like Tamuli-chiga, Bamunpukhuri, Boi, Lahdoigarh and Hanhchara Bailung gaon, Me-Dam-Me-Phi was celebrated with traditiol prayer and function.
