AGARTALA, July 30 : General Secretary of the Indigenous Peoples’ Front of Tripura and Minister of Forest in the BJP led coalition government Mebar Kumar Jamatia accused the CPI(M) for hatching conspiracy to create misunderstanding among two partners of the ruling government. He urged the party workers not to step into the trap laid by them. ‘Many CPI(M) workers has infiltrated into our party and are trying to create misunderstanding between the partners of the coalition’, he said adding that we are trying to identify these people and appropriate action will be taken in due course.

His statement appeared significant in view of the recent incidents when the IPFT workers violently reacted while protesting against appointment of chairman for various Block Development Committees. Jamatia in his speech did not referred to these incidents but his message was clear that the party will not spare the trouble makers who are violating the party instructions. He lambasted the previous Left Front government for deceiving the tribals of the State and turning the hilly areas den of corruptions. ‘They have deceived the trabals only with lip service’, he said. He highly appreciated the performance of the JBP-IPFT coalition government led by Biplab Deb and said this government will fulfill all commitment made before the election.
