Media XI storm into semis

GUWAHATI, March 24: Media XI moved into the semi fil of the 7th Veteran Inter District and Inter Institutiol T20 championship defeating Jorhat DSA by 4 wickets at the Nehru stadium here today. Chasing 107 runs to win Media XI although faced some tense moments, losing few quick wickets in the middle order, but captain Biswajit Deka took his team to home playing a responsible knock. Deka remained not out on 20. Ganesh Pandit (31) and  Bhaskar Hazarika (15) were the other notable scorers. Earlier Biswajit played a vital role behind the wickets, stumped four opponent batsmen, to restrict Jorhat DSA to 106. Rupam Lasit (23), Ikram Hussain (20) and Bhabani Tasa (18) were the main contributors for Jorhat.
