Medical camp held at Patkijuli village

TAMALPUR, Feb 7: Army Camp, Tamulpur organized a medical camp at a remote village Patkijuli along the Indo-Bhutan border in Baksa district on Monday and Tuesday. The medical camp was organized for the people residing in Patkijuli village as they have to face a lot of problems due to poor medical infrastructure in the area. A large section of local population in this area is suffering from ailments like hypertension, diabetes, aemia, arthritis, respiratory ailments and gastrointestil diseases.   Troops of Red Horn Division conducted a mega medical camp at Patkijuli in Baksa district. The aim of this particular initiative executed under Operation Sadbhava was to provide succour in terms of medical assistance to the people residing in these areas. A team of five Army doctors, six medical assistants from Army and three civil doctors from PHC Patkijuli treated a large number of patients during the camp. The medical camp was iugurated by Dr R Ishwari, in-charge of PHC Patkijuli.
