Dr. Pradip Kumar th, MD, who is the chief organizer of the NGO, said, “There are various symptoms of typhoid. In case of typhoid affected patients, fever continues for 4 to 5 days and then it starts to rise. The typhoid vaccine can only prevent this disease from taking a fatal form. An early detection of the disease can cause less pain for the patients of typhoid. Typhoid can be cured by proper medication and nursing.”

Typhoid fever is an acute illness which is associated with fever caused by the Salmonella typhi bacteria. The disease can also be caused by Salmonella paratyphi, a related bacterium that usually causes a less severe illness. The bacteria are deposited in water or food by a human carrier and are then spread to other people in the area.
