Medical camp organized in remote village of Chirang

Bongaigaon, May 2: The troops of Chirang based Army unit of Red Horn Division along with the civil administration organized a medical camp in the Adivasi village of kedara near Khungrigaon in Chirang district on Monday.

An army official said that their aim to conduct this camp was to render medical assistance to the needy populace. “A team of six doctors from various disciplines, including three army doctors along with paramedical staff and nursing staff, provided their much needed expert consultancy. Many people of the area are suffering from skin diseases and other communicable diseases. A special team from the malaria department also provided their much needed service in the camp. Vital medicines for various ailments prevalent in the area were distributed to all the needy people, who had turned up for the medical camp in large numbers,” he said.

A total of 924 people of kadera and nearby villages benefitted from the medical camp.
