Meet on BTC polls held in Chirang

KOKRAJHAR, April 6: A joint meeting of the Civil Zol and Sector Officers and Police Zol and Sector Officers was held on Sunday under the chairmanship of Chirang DC Rupak Kr. Muzumder in presence of Election Observer for 13 Chirang (ST), 14 Chirang Duars(ST) and 15 Kajalgaon (ST) IG, Prison Prashanta Buragohain at Kajalgaon in the conference hall of the district centre. The DC took the stock of the polling stations from the respective Civil Zol and Sector Officers and as such, he asked the DEEO and PWD officials to repair the polling stations and roads identified by zol and sector officers. Chirang SP Ranjan Kr. Bhuyan spoke about the deployment plan of the police force and necessity of joint coordition between police and civil officials during the polling day. He further asked them to jointly move while leaving the headquarter and the polling stations. Addressing the meeting, Election Observer Prashanta Buragohain called upon the officials to take photographs of the election process for future use.
