Meet on traffic snarls

ITANAGAR, Jul 18: A meeting was held to discuss the traffic management system and to work out ways to improve the traffic system in the Capital Complex in the conference hall of the Deputy Commissioner, Itanagar on Wednesday here. Capital Complex DC Prince Dhawan, local MLA Techi Kaso, SP Capital N Harsha Vardhan, SP Traffic Irak Bagra, EAC Itanagar Hengo Basar, EAC (ITW) Toko Babu, and EE Highway Nani That attended the meeting. Techi Kasso called for measures to streamline vehicles during peak hours, and pointed out that stern action should be taken against the violators of traffic rules. He also stressed that traffic wardens should be on duty on all days in a week. Deputy Commissioner Dhawan stated that violators of rules in the parking and no-parking zones must be dealt with as per law. He also asked the Capital SP to deploy additional forces wherever required. The DC also directed that heavy vehicles shall not be allowed to enter the Capital Complex during peak hours from 7 am to 9 pm.
