Meeting held on Measles Rubella vaccination drive in Dima Hasao

Haflong: A meeting on Measles Rubella vaccination in Dima Hasao district was held in the office chamber of Joint Director, Health and Medical Services, Haflong, chaired by Naresh Ghosh, Principal Secretary, North Cachar Hills Autonomous Council, Haflong. The vaccination drive seeks to cover each child in the age group of 9 months to 15 years in the district. In this regard, 1,236 session sites have been chalked out throughout the district. The programme will also cover the private institutions and non-school going children under State and district-level monitoring.

After prolonged discussion, the date of launching the programme was fixed as August 17 and the vaccination drive will continue for one month. For success of the programme, all line departments have been asked to cooperate. The programme was attended by M. Changsan, i/c Additional Director, Health and Medical Services, Dr Dipali Barman and representatives of various departments, police and mediapersons.
