Meeting on traffic management

ITANAGAR, July 18: A meeting was held to discuss the traffic management system and to work out ways to improve the traffic system in the Capital Complex in the conference hall of the Deputy Commissioner, Itanagar on Wednesday here. Capital Complex Deputy Commissioner Prince Dhawan, local MLA Techi Kaso, SP Capital N Harsha Vardhan, SP Traffic Irak Bagra, EAC Itanagar Hengo Basar, EAC (ITW) Toko Babu, and EE Highway Nani That attended the meeting. Techi Kasso stressed that the system of haphazard line up of vehicles during peak hours is one of the main reasons of traffic congestion in the capital and stern action should be taken to the violators of rule. He also stressed that traffic wardens should be on duty even on all days in a week. Meanwhile, DC Prince Dhawan said that the parking and no parking zones have already been notified which requires strict compliance and asked all the traffic officers and officials to implement the same strictly. He also asked the SP Capital to deploy additional forces wherever required.
