Meeting to review progress of Sansad Adarsh Gram Yojana (SAGY) at Tezpur Deputy Commissioner Office

Tezpur: A meeting to review the progress of Sansad Adarsh Gram Yojana (SAGY) was held in the conference hall of the Deputy Commissioner’s Office on Thursday. The meeting was chaired by District Development Commissioner, Sonitpur, Farouk Alam in the presence of principal investigator of Post Project Evaluation for SAGY Professor SS Sarkar, Tezpur University, Chief Executive Officer of Sonitpur Zilla Parishad Dipak Kumar Handique and heads of all departments of the district.

Attending the meeting, Farouk Alam directed all the departments to submit their progress reports at the earliest possible and upload the data on the portal and asked all departments lagging behind to fulfil the targets as soon as possible.

Dipak Kumar Handique informed that No 2 Sootea GP under Sootea Development Block of undivided Sonitpur district has been taken up under the SAGY scheme in the first phase and that it now falls under Biswanath district.

Professor SS Sarkar who has been entrusted with the responsibility of Post Project Evaluation of SAGY by the Ministry of Rural Development gave a detailed presentation about the progress achieved so far and the various parameters on which the progress is being evaluated.
