Meghalaya jourlist killed

Shillong, Oct 11: A video jourlist of a broadcast channel in Meghalaya was killed and a photo jourlist and their car driver were left injured in a road accident in Assam’s Goalpara district on Sunday. Their vehicle crashed into a tree on the Tura-Paikan road. Kenny Warjri, the video jourlist of Peitngor Cable News, succumbed to his injuries, while Walton Jyrwa, the photo jourlist of UB photo agency, was admitted in Gauahati Medical College in a critical condition along with driver Gautam Dey, who was also badly injured. Both jourlists were heading to Tura to cover the Garo Hills Autonomous District Council elections to be held on Monday.
