Mentally ill minor raped

GUWAHATI, June 30: The Satgaon police arrested one identified as Altaf Ali (55) on Friday from Rahmat Nagar near Panjabari allegedly for sexually assaulting a minor girl who was mentally ill. According to police source, Ali assaulted the minor for the last one year. A few days ago, on observing certain changes on the victim’s body, the family relatives took her to a doctor where her four-month old pregnancy was detected. Immediately, a case was lodged at the Satgaon police station following which the culprit was arrested immediately.
