Meritorious students felicitated

GOHPUR, June 22: The All Assam Students’ Union Gohpur subdivisional committee felicitated 250 meritorious students of the greater subdivision who obtained star and distinction marks in the HSLC and HS examination this year. Thirty principals and headmasters of these schools were also felicitated by AASU. On the occasion of the felicitation programme, an open session was organized in Chaiduar College auditorium on Tuesday. Rector of Gauhati University, Dr. Hari Prasad Sarmah, SDO Civil of Gohpur, Dr. Indranoshee Das and the principal of Chaiduar College, Dr. Anjan Ozah participated in the open session as guests of honour.

“No one will fail to achieve success in life if we do our duties sincerely with full determination,” said Dr. Hari Prasad Sarmah in his speech. On behalf of AASU, assistant general secretary of AASU central committee, Duldul Borkataki, organizing secretary Pragyan Bhuyan, and Dhruba Jyoti Borah, general secretary of Gohpur subdivisional AASU, gave valuable speeches.
