Meritorious students feted by Junaki Silpi Samaj and AASU Charing Regional Committee

GAURISAGAR, July 16: Junaki Silpi Samaj, one of the prominent socio-cultural organizations of Charing, and AASU Charing Regional Committee on Sunday jointly felicitated meritorious students who successfully passed the HS and HSLC examination this year. In this connection, a special felicitation meeting was held.

Khirod Khanikar, Associate Professor of Dikhowmukh College, chaired the meeting while Pranjal Kakoty, president of Junaki Silpi Samaj, explained the objectives. Sarat Hazarika, education secretary of AASU, Promod Duarah, Principal of Ghana Kanta Borah College, Tamulichiga and noted artist Bipin Chaodang were distinguished guests. As many as 30 local organizations felicitated veteran artist Bipin Chaodang. In the meeting, 13 meritorious BPL students were handed over cheque of Rs 5,000 each. Besides, the students who passed the HS and HSLC examination from Charing centre with flying colours were felicitated with a citation, packet of books and a bouquet.
