Mid-day meal workers’ protest

DEMOW, Feb 18: Along with the rest of the State, the mid-day meal workers of Demow protested in front of the Demow Block Development Office on Saturday afternoon.  The mid-day workers demanded that their wages should be increased up to Rs 5,000, full security should be given in their work and medical facilities and pension facilities should be given to them. Moreover, in the State Government budget the mid-day meal workers were not getting due importance, said a mid-day meal worker.
