Military hospital Tezpur conducts medical camp

TEZPUR, Jan 10: A Medical and Dental Camp on occasion of Army Day 2016 was held under the banner of GAJRAJ Corps at Military- Base Hospital complex at Tezpur on 10 Jan 2016 for the Ex-servicemen (ESM) and their dependents. The Camp was iugurated by Brig MKV Patil, Station Commander Tezpur Military Garrison, a press release stated.

This is one of the major events conducted by GAJRAJ Corps for all ESM settled in nearby areas. Army buses were sent to areas of Biswath Charali, Dhekiajuli, Lokhra and Misa Camp to assist ESM to reach venue of the Camp at Base Hospital Tezpur. During the Medical Camp ESM and their dependents were examined for life style diseases like Primary Hypertension, Type II Diabetes, Mellitus and Obesity.Cancer screening was also done. Dental screening was conducted by GAJRAJ Corps Dental Unit. Those requiring review by specialists were seen by the respective specialists. The camp which was well attended also featured a talk on “Healthy Life Style” given by the Medical Specialist covering various life style diseases and ways to avoid/ delay onset of illnesses. Station HQ Tezpur had opened an ESM Held Desk to resolve pension/ECHS and other problems of ESM. The Camp was well received by ESM and the help offered was highly appreciated by all.
