Mini marathon to arouse patriotism in Aruchal

ITAGAR, Jan 23: Aruchal Pradesh will join the rest of the country in organizing a mini marathon on January 24 next.

The union ministry of Defence is organizing the marathon to arouse patriotism among citizens.

The Border Roads Organization (BRO) will conduct the mini marathon and will cover a distance of 5 kms.

Recently, a meeting was conducted to discuss the conduct of the marathon by general administration commissioner. The mini marathon will be flagged-off from IG Park, Itagar (Tennis ground) and will take NH road towards Ganga, H-sector, Niti-Vihar road (Abotani colony), Kingcup School road, Bank Tili and culmite at IG Park (Tennis ground).

The participants will have to report at the venue at 7 am for registration, and the flag-off ceremony will be held at 8 am.

For successful conduct of the event and to ensure voluntary participation of general public including youths, NCC/scouts from government and private schools etc., the BRO has requested to the state government for proper coordition.
