Minister Chandra Mohan Patowary launches New Development Programmes enhancing State's Economy

Guwahati: Minister for Assam Skill, Employment and Entrepreneurship Chandra Mohan Patowary in collaboration with Assam police launches the ‘Swavalamban scheme’ to provide skill development training to 18000 surrendered militants in Assam. This is a three months long training programme.

In addition, the State Minister Patowary also planning to set up foreign language Learning center especially South East Asian Languages that will enhance state youths to grab a job abroad.

Other developments that had come from State Government end are launching of a new industrial and investment promotion policy with a new package of incentives.

In this regard, Patowary said, “This policy offers fiscal incentives such as reimbursement of state goods and service tax as well as stamp duties subsidy on power, power generating sets and drawing of powerline, provision of top-up working capital loan and financial assistance to micro, small and medium enterprises that are listed on National Stock Exchange as well as assistance for environmental compliance”.

He added, “This policy will be effective from October this year and will remain for a period of five years until September 30, 2023.”
